Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines for FOTROS Journal

Welcome to the FOTROS Journal submission guidelines. We are pleased to consider your work for publication. Please follow these standards to ensure a smooth peer review and publication process.

Formatting Your Manuscript

  • Use a standard font, such as Times New Roman, size 12.
  • Manuscripts should be double-spaced.
  • Margins should be at least 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Include page numbers consecutively.

Structure of the Manuscript

  • Title Page: Title, author(s), affiliation(s), corresponding author’s contact information.
  • Abstract: A concise summary of the article.
  • Keywords: 3-5 keywords for indexing purposes.
  • Main Text: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion.
  • Acknowledgments: (if applicable).
  • References: Follow the citation style outlined below.
  • Figures and Tables: Include within the text at the appropriate points, not at the end.

Citation Style Please use the following citation formats:

  • Books: Author(s). Title. Publisher, Year.
  • Articles: Author(s). “Title.” Journal Name, vol. number, no. number, Year, pp. page range.
  • Websites: Author(s) or organization. “Title of the page.” Name of the website, URL. Accessed Date.

Example Citations

  • For a book: Smith, John. The Science of Nature. Nature Publishing, 2020.
  • For an article: Doe, Jane, and John Smith. “Studying the Behavior of Nature.” Journal of Natural Studies, vol. 15, no. 3, 2021, pp. 45-60.

Submission Process

Submission Fee and Payment Method 

FOTROS Journal is committed to ensuring quality and integrity in the publication process. To support the cost of wide dissemination of research results, we charge a nominal submission fee.

  • Submission Fee: Please refer to our website for the current fee structure.
  • Payment Methods: We accept the following methods of payment:
    • Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express.
    • Bank Transfer: Please contact us for bank details.
    • PayPal: Send payments to our PayPal account using your credit or debit card.

Please note that the submission fee is non-refundable and must be paid upon submission of your manuscript. If you require financial assistance or a fee waiver, please contact us before submission to discuss your circumstances.

  • Submit your manuscript through our online submission system.
  • Ensure that your manuscript adheres to our submission checklist.
  • You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt within 48 hours.

Review and Publication

  • All submissions are subject to peer review.
  • The review process typically takes 4-6 weeks.
  • Upon acceptance, your article will be prepared for publication.

Ethical Considerations

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Ensure the originality of your work and that proper credit is given to referenced works.

All articles published by FOTROS Journal are made available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, cite them in their work, remix, transform, and build upon the material, as long as appropriate credit is given, the material is not used for commercial purposes, and the adaptations are shared under the same license.
